General Description:
May 4 Visitors Center docent is responsible for greeting guests, giving tours, answering phones, and other duties as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct one-on-one assistance to visitors to the May 4 Visitors Center.
- Accept responsibility for the Centers facility.
- Protect the Center from damage or loss.
- Answer general questions regarding May 4.
- Participate in training.
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Provide tours or the Visitors Center.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Trustworthy and reliable
- Possess basic familiarity with the history of May 4, 1970.
- Willing to read and learn about May 4, 1970.
- Demonstrates ability to follow directions and retain information.
- Displays a professional attitude, friendliness and service-oriented demeanor at all times.
- Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills, patience and the ability to work well with others.
- Is collaborative with fellow student workers.
- Available to work some evenings, and Saturdays.
