• $25—to sponsor a student (this amount helps the library to supplement the cost per student to attend and pay for student performer meals)

If you cannot attend, please consider making a donation to the University Libraries Student Scholarship Fund.

Your event registration includes all entertainment, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, dessert, coffee, tea, iced tea, and water. A cash bar will be available for beer, wine and cocktails.

Dinner and performances:
From 6:30 – 7:15 p.m., visit with Friends of the Libraries, students, and library faculty & staff while you enjoy music performed by the School of Music, jazz combo directed by Bobby Selvaggio. Bobby is one of the leading alto saxophone voices on today’s jazz scene and director of Jazz Studies at Kent State University.   

At 7:15 p.m., we will be seated in the ballroom to be served the dinner your choice (Potato Crusted Cod, Fontina Chicken or Eggplant Lasagna). Seating is first come first served for all guests not registered under a sponsored table.

At approximately, 7:45 p.m. and during dinner performances will begin (Musical Theatre under the direction of Amy Fritsche, Opera Program under the direction of Marla Berg and Jay White, Kent Dance Ensemble under the direction of Kim Karpanty, and Piano Studies under the direction of Jerry Wong and Donna Lee). Dessert will be also be served.

Our musical scholarship event will end at approximately 9 p.m.

Parking:
There is no charge to parking in the Student Center Visitor Lot during the event. Please do not park at the meters. The Student Center Visitor lot off of Summit Street (blue arrow below.)
