Scope and Content: This collection has been compiled by Special Collections and Archives and includes clippings that contain historical information concerning Kent, Ohio, as well as the regions surrounding it. The bulk of these files contain newspaper clippings from local area news publications: The Kent-Ravenna Record Courier, Inside Kent State, The Daily Kent Stater and The Akron Beacon Journal. The majority of these materials are dated from the 1980s through the 1990s but there are some earlier and some more recent content in the collection.

Arrangement: The files are listed alphabetically by subject heading with occasional sub-headings included. 

Accruals: Additional material is added to this collection on a continual basis as it is received or compiled.
