Biographical Note: (Edith) Constance Holme (1880-1955) was born in Milnthorpe, Westmorland, England, the youngest of fourteen children. She wrote novels, short stories and plays. Some of her best-known works include Beautiful End (1918), The Splendid Fairing (1919, The Lonely Plough (1914), and The Things Which Belong (1925). Scope and Content: This collection consists of manuscripts of the novel Beautiful End, one short story, and a one-act play. There is also some correspondence with E. A. Osborne, and several certificates of authenticity to her typescripts.
