Scope and Content

This series contains records associated with the Friends of the Libraries group, founded in 1972. The group's focus was to support the programs and collections of Libraries and Media Services. For many years, the Friends group was administered by the Department of Special Collections and Archives. Friends were invited to an annual dinner with a speaker presentation and were also recipients of a number of keepsakes and other special publications. These publications and issues of the Friends of the Libraries Newsletter may be found in the Special Collections Publications series.
