Kent State University Libraries seeks two (2) service-oriented and engaged librarians to join our Student and Research Success team, contributing to a supportive and positive learning environment for students, faculty, and staff. These positions will focus on core public service operations, such as staffing the Library Services Desk or other service points in University Libraries along with our student employees, providing in-person and virtual research consultations, staffing the chat service, teaching library instruction and information literacy sessions, and working with students who have been sent to plagiarism school. Working nights and/or weekends is expected. Additionally, incumbents may be assigned as a subject librarian to designated areas.
These are 12 month, Full-time Non-Tenure Track faculty positions. Starting salary: $55000

Required Qualifications:
- MLS or MLIS from an ALA-accredited program or other relevant graduate degree as deemed appropriate by the Libraries
- Experience in a library, preferably in a public services role
- Experience providing effective and efficient service in a welcoming and inclusive manner
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of experience in a public services role in an academic library
- Experience with library circulation modules (e.g., III Sierra)
- Supervisory experience
- Teaching experience, preferably using multiple modes of instruction
- Track record showing ability to work collaboratively
- Demonstrated understanding of the value of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace
