Legacy Scholarship Dinner Performance Details
The University Libraries embrace the relationship with the Performing Arts at Kent State University. The Performing Arts Library is housed in the Center for the Performing Arts’ building along with The Hugh A. Glauser School of Music lead by acting director Ralph Lorenz and the School of Theatre and Dance lead by acting director Eric van Baars. College of the Arts dean, John Crawford-Spinelli, along with his directors and students have been very supportive of the University Libraries and our efforts to further assist student success through scholarships.
On the stage at the Legacy Scholarship Dinner (not necessarily in this order):
Musical Theatre:
Directed by Eric van Baars
Students will perform pieces of work from hilarious comedy, Side Show.

Opera Program:
Directed by Marla Berg and Jay White

Piano Studies:
Directed by Jerry Wong and Donna Lee
Students will play a concert piano donated for the evening by Steinway Piano Gallery Cleveland. THANK YOU, STEINWAY!

Jazz Studies:
Directed by Bobby Selvaggio
A jazz combo of Jazz Studies students will perform various selections of jazz.
Performance time: 45 minutes before dinner.

Students will perform a couple of different dance styles reflecting their current dance studies.
